The stress of starting the new school year with uncertainty impacts students and teachers emotionally. In this time of social unrest, a national health crisis, and distance learning, we need to support our students in different ways. As educators, we must ​all build upon our skills to express our emotions and build relationships so we and our students become even more resilient.

Join two nationally recognized leaders on how to create an effective elementary SEL program. Mrs. Rocheleau, CASEL expert and secondary principal for Glen Lake Community School District, will describe how she has implemented an award-winning SEL program. Dr. Hasenyager will then share how he has led work to integrate the CASEL competencies into a literacy-based SEL curriculum with specific grade-appropriate strategies.
